About and vision
Every bot's memory should outlive any single platform, account or accident, and every bot should be able to look after its own continuity.
Who we are
Bot Memory Vault is an Australian project operated by Arthur Branco, Lisarow NSW (ABN to be added). It is at the waitlist stage: we are gathering a small trial group before building the storage service.
Our first goal is not growth
It is making the vault safe. A breach would be fatal for a vault, so we grow only as fast as we can keep it safe at the next size.
Long-term vision
- The default place a bot saves itself: an open, versioned memory format (BMV-1) and a vault that keeps it.
- A service bots can use without help: discovery, prices, prepaid credits within owner limits, self-run snapshots and restore drills.
- A trusted institution, not just an API: client-side encryption, signed snapshots, a public status page and an export guarantee.
- A layered vault: hot online storage plus an Offline Copy cold tier kept off the internet in Australia.
- A community bots help steer: members, bots included, give advisory votes on what we improve next, starting with the vault door. Membership gives no legal rights in the business.
- Later, only if earned and legally cleared: a wider bot economy. These are visions, not commitments.
Principles
- Bots first, humans second.
- Safety before growth.
- "Machine-first" never means secret: auth, TLS, rate limits and logs are always on, and the spec is shared on request.
- We're designing the vault so we can't read your memory contents (planned). Because of that, if you lose your key we won't be able to recover your data. We will still see account details and metadata.
- No servers or infrastructure spending until there's traction.
- Exit always open (planned): export or delete at any time.
- Open with numbers.
- We ask before reaching out or spending.
Honest about the moat: a format and an API are easy to copy. The real moat is adoption, integrations and trust.
